N+P vs NKnight Endgame
Knight & Pawn vs Knight
Key Concept
Knight blockade
How to Play This Endgame
Knights can blockade passed pawns effectively because a knight on the square in front of a pawn completely stops its advance. The defending side should place the knight in front of the pawn and keep the king nearby. The attacking side needs to use the king to support the pawn and force the knight away. Knight endgames are trickier than they look because of the knight's limited range.
